An Update Regarding Team Conti's Proceedings Against RYCO
For more information, you can review the Amended Complaint we filed last Friday below, which includes some of the evidence that we have gathered from the community. Because this case is still active, we won't be able to comment further on specific details beyond what's already part of the public record. We appreciate your understanding, and we'll share updates when it's appropriate to do so.
To the iRacing and Team Conti Community -
We are extremely grateful for the support we've received since our lawsuit against Kenneth Biron and RYCO became public on August 19th. The community response has been nothing short of incredible, and the information many of you have brought forward has been extraordinarily helpful to build out our allegations. To everyone who's reached out with information - thank you.
Team Conti considered all of its options upon learning of the situation, but ultimately decided a lawsuit was necessary. If you ran a business and uncovered evidence that a direct competitor was defrauding not only you, but the community you serve, would sit idle and let it continue, or would you take action? For us, the choice was clear. This case is as much about protecting Team Conti and its customers as it is about protecting the iRacing oval community, and specifically those of you who are regular customers of setup providers.
We also understand that setup providers aren't universally liked in the community, and to those individuals who generally dislike setup shops, you are heard and we get it. Since forming Team Conti Sim Performance in November of 2023, we've done everything in our power to earn the community's trust: pricing our services fairly, not charging customers when a season-to-season setup change is minor, and reinvesting thousands of dollars back into the community through league partnerships and charitable contributions. We look forward to continuing to positively engage with the iRacing community.
